1st Day of School.....

I almost forgot to snap a pic of my little guy this morning. I remembered in the car on the way to school, so I took a quick pic at a red light, haha! I always have my camera in my purse, because I never know when I might need it. He had a good time! He was playing, when I got there to pick him up, and for the longest time he did not see me standing at the door waiting to get him. He finally realized I was there and got excited and ran over to the door. They did a little art project today as you can see in the above pic. The time flew by today, while he was gone. I wish the pick up time was still 1:30p.m., but it has been changed to 11:45a.m. this year. I did get some phone calls made to get some stuff done around the house. A couple of which were just things that come along with buying a new house. Hopefully, we will get all the kinks out soon. All in all it was a good first day for the both of us. I did get a chance to go run a couple errands and do some fun shopping for me!

1st Bible....

I found this cute little first Bible at Target the other day. Brayden loves looking through the pictures and trying to read. He kept babbling away for the longest time!

Preschool....

We had parent orientation today for Brayden's preschool. The program has changed this year and instead of being called mother's morning out it is actually preschool. They are supposed to work with the kids on abc's, colors, and numbers throughout the year, if I understood correctly. I am excited about this. Brayden has one of his buddies from playgroup in his class this year. I know they are going to have a good time. The two of them had a good time playing in their room today, when we met their teachers. They were not ready to leave. Brayden now has on his new shirt they gave him, because for the past several days he had decided it is more fun to spit his juice everywhere than drink it. I don't know what I'm going to do about this. We have been through so many outfits the past few days. He even spit milk all in my hair the other morning, when I was laying on the couch. He is a handful these days to say the least! If anyone has experienced this problem and has any suggestions for me, I'll gladly take them, haha. I've tried firmly saying "NO!" and taking the cup away from him and just putting water in it instead of the juice he wants. Anyway, I got sidetracked.....his teachers are both really sweet! He is starting on Monday and I can't wait to be able to get my house in order and do some grocery shopping all by myself =0) He will just be going 2x a week during the morning time. They cut back the hours this year.

Already Trying to Fill Daddy's Shoes......

Brayden LOVES shoes as much as his Mama! He is always trying to put his shoes on and loves carrying them around the house. He also likes to try to walk around in Jeffrey's shoes as well as mine.

Sing, Sing a Song....

Brayden has become quite the little singer. He wakes up in the morning singing to himself and sings himself to sleep at night sometimes. I had to get it on tape today! My sweet little guy! (Oh, and I apologize for the video being sideways, don't know how to rotate it)

Family Pics at the Beach...

Let's just say that taking pics at the beach of all our families with a professional photographer was an experience! Brayden was not very cooperative. He kept laying out in the sand and getting black sand all over and dummy here did not have wipes in the diaper bag. I had moved them to my beach bag and forgot to return them to the diaper bag. He did NOT want to have any part of having his picture made. He had us all looking like a bunch of clowns trying to get him to smile! I will post a link later, when the photographer gets the pics up on his site. But, for now you can check out Brayden laying out in the sand, haha!

Sorry, I did not do so good w/ my videoing. I was playing w/ the zoom and was not fast enough! We had a good time at the waterpark. Brayden loves playing in the water. He was not so sure about this BIG waterfall that went off every couple of minutes. It made a loud buzzer like sound and then water poured out of bucket faster and faster. He would turn to me and want me to pick him up. He liked the smaller little waterfall though and loved the slides!

LOVES the stairs....

Brayden LOVES climbing on anything! He has a great time playing on the stairs as you can see! This video is from a few weeks ago. I have a new digital camera now, thanks to my mom and dad! My mom gave it to me as an early birthday gift. She decided that she would not make me wait til August, because she wanted me to be able to take it with me to the beach in a couple of weeks. Anyway, I LOVE my new camera. You can definitely tell a difference in the quality of the video from the recent pool shots and this one. The pool ones are so much clearer! Thanks mom and dad!

Just Say No....

So...I've mentioned before that one of Brayden's favorite words is "No". A response we hear quite often around our house. Well, a couple of nights ago we were asleep, and I heard Brayden say, "No" over the baby monitor. At first, I was thinking ...Oh, great...he is up early. My next thought was.... did he just say that or am I dreaming? I asked Jeffrey, if he heard it also, and he verified it. It was 4:30a.m., and he never made another peep. Guess that tells you how much he hears the word -No....not that he obeys us. Guess I can't pick on him too much, because I have talked in my sleep about needing to go to the grocery store....Go figure!
