The park was pretty wet today from all the rain, so we decided to try out The Play Place in Madison. I think the kiddos had a good time, and the mamas did not have to do so much chasing. A great place to go on a rainy day or when it is too wet outside to play.

Fun at the Park...

Little Monkey....

I leave the room for one minute and come back to find Brayden in the oven. He has just begun opening the oven door a lot. It's pretty heavy, so I didn't think he was gonna be able to do it. He likes to play with it now, and will not listen to me, when I say, "No". I have got to get him to quit playing with it, because I don't want him burning himself one day.

NO!

Brayden's favorite word these days, besides Dada. Other favorites are juice and go outside, but "No", is the one he uses most often these days. He usually smiles, shakes his head and says, "No", as he does something he should not be doing. He also likes to point his finger at our dog, Chloe, and tell her no. He will spill his food on the floor on purpose and Chloe will come right over, and he will look at her and say "NO!"... He is a mess. I know I'm not doing a good job with discipline in the video....I've got to work on that. He really has got to start learning not to do some things. I was just trying to get him to say, "No" for the camera, because Jeffrey and I think it's funny now. I know it probably will get to be annoying real fast, but that smile just melt my heart :)

I went fishing today....

Not the kind of fishing my daddy does. I heard the toilet flushing and I went running. I usually keep the half bath and laundry room doors closed, because Brayden loves flushing the toilet and playing in Chloe's food and water bowls. I knew when I heard that sound of the toilet flushing that it probably was not good. He loves throwing stuff in there, and I usually catch it before it is too late. I sprinted in there and fished out some bath and body works hand soap (he got from under the sink) and an empty toilet paper roll he must have gotten out of the garbage. We will be calling a plumber soon, if I'm not more careful....but not today....I got there just in time.

*I've decided that I'm going to have my blog printed into a book using this site... www.blurb.com
I think I will have Dec.-Dec. printed for year 2 of his life. I made a video montage of his first year, maybe I'll just do this for his second year. I thought it might be fun to read through later in life. He can see what all he put his mama through and what he will have to look forward to with his kids :).

Worn Out....

We had a playdate at the park this morning...We usually meet every week at the park. Well, I guess the heat got to Brayden today. He was worn out. He fell asleep in the swing. He did make friends with an older girl, before he fell asleep. She picked him up and put him in the swing and pushed him for a while. He looks like he is about to fall out, but I was right there and we did move him back up...he just kept sliding down. Brayden and Bryce love to swing.

Hide and Seek....

A game we play often around our house. I'm not a fan of this game. Brayden hides something I'm looking for and I go on a hunt to find it. I go crazy searching all over the place. One of Brayden's favorite hiding places is the garbage can. Guess he takes after his daddy. He likes to throw away stuff that I would not have wanted him to throw away, if I had known. One day Jeffrey had some pictures of sample signs to go on the front of his new office building. He had shown the different options to me and then placed the drawings down somewhere. Well, he then started looking for them and could not find them. He had looked all over the place and then it dawned on me that Brayden had just started playing in the garbage drawer a lot that day. I decided I would take a look and that is where they were. Now that is the first place I check, when something is missing. His old hiding place was sliding items behind the slats in out plantation shutters. I realized he was doing this, when his play cell phone turned up missing. I noticed it through the window, when we were outside in the screened in porch. Well, today the remote control was missing. so I checked his usual hiding places and did not find it. I thought well maybe it fell in the cushions of the seat or was under the couch or ottoman. I checked these places with no luck. I thought well maybe I carried it in the laundry room with me, when I was putting the clothes in the dryer. I looked around in there and noticed it in the washer machine. I then had a flashback of Brayden putting it in there, when I was emptying the washer. I remember him closing the door to the washer, but I forgot that he had put the remote in there. He keeps things intresting. He climbs up the chairs and ends up on top of the kitchen table. The boy LOVES to climb. We went to a friends house today and all he wanted to do is climb up and down the stairs. I sure hope we don't have to make any trips to the E.R., because of his climbing on everything.

Talk About Starting the Day Off Bad......

I was backing out of our garage yesterday, and all of a sudden I heard a lound BANG and something scraping the top of my car. The garage door came back down on the roof of my car and it was STUCK! They don't know what caused it! Pretty scary that it could happen again! I will now be very cautious w/ garage doors!

Already Wants to Borrow My Car......

So... We finally got an offer on our old house. Hopefully, everything will go through smoothly. My mom and I have been clearing out some furniture, pictures, mirrors, etc. that were still at the old house. We got a good bit done, while Brayden was at Mother's Morning Out. Well, my mom went to pick up lunch, and I was trying to unload my car. I was looking to see, where Brayden had gone, because I did not hear him in the house. I figured he was in the garage. Well, when I went in the garage, this is what I found. Haha! He was mad, when I tried to take him out of the car. He was having a good time!

Brayden had a fun time at his first swimming lessons. He LOVED the slide and was mad that he could not go on it a second time! Thanks Jeffrey, for taking the pics for me! He even got a couple of videos on my camera! I was impressed that he remebered how. I gave him a quick lesson before we got in the pool. Brayden was so excited the whole way home! He was talking and squealing the whole time. I thought he would be worn out afterwards, but he was wired!

Brayden's new favorite toy is Tigger. (Thanks Morgan and Brady!) He loves to make Tigger bounce and jumps along with him. In this video, he has on his swimsuit, because we are getting ready for his first swimming lesson tonight. I tried on last years swimsuit (6-12 months) it fits him really good this year. They looked like pants on him last year. I guess I did not need to buy him any new suits this year. I don't think his 12-18 months suits are going to fit to well. Oh well, maybe next year...Check back later for pics from his first swimming lessons...
