Brayden did not pay too much attention to all the animals at the zoo. He had a ball running full speed everywhere. Often in the direction that we did not want him to go. Our trip was cut short due to rain. We got kinda soaked.

Waterfest '08

It was really HOT!!! We did not stay too long. I think we lasted about 45 minutes or so. We kept waiting for the Nemo parade, and we never saw it. We got there right on time for the parade, but for some reason we missed it. Maybe...they were really running behind. I'm not sure what was going on. We chased Brayden all over the place. He had fun playing with the ball that has the world on it. He also played in a space jump and started crying, when it was time to come out of it. He wanted to get in the reservoir.... I thought, oh, I can get some cute pics of Jeffrey and Brayden in front of the water. Brayden was not cooperative. He is starting to be very difficult at times. I think he is starting the terrible twos early!

Mommy's Night Out....

I have made a lot of great new friends over the past year. Here are some of them....These are some of the moms from Brayden's playgroup. We decided to have a Girls Night Out tonight at Papito's in Madison. We all had a great time, and I'm looking forward to many more get togethers with these girls.

The park was pretty wet today from all the rain, so we decided to try out The Play Place in Madison. I think the kiddos had a good time, and the mamas did not have to do so much chasing. A great place to go on a rainy day or when it is too wet outside to play.

Fun at the Park...

Little Monkey....

I leave the room for one minute and come back to find Brayden in the oven. He has just begun opening the oven door a lot. It's pretty heavy, so I didn't think he was gonna be able to do it. He likes to play with it now, and will not listen to me, when I say, "No". I have got to get him to quit playing with it, because I don't want him burning himself one day.

NO!

Brayden's favorite word these days, besides Dada. Other favorites are juice and go outside, but "No", is the one he uses most often these days. He usually smiles, shakes his head and says, "No", as he does something he should not be doing. He also likes to point his finger at our dog, Chloe, and tell her no. He will spill his food on the floor on purpose and Chloe will come right over, and he will look at her and say "NO!"... He is a mess. I know I'm not doing a good job with discipline in the video....I've got to work on that. He really has got to start learning not to do some things. I was just trying to get him to say, "No" for the camera, because Jeffrey and I think it's funny now. I know it probably will get to be annoying real fast, but that smile just melt my heart :)

I went fishing today....

Not the kind of fishing my daddy does. I heard the toilet flushing and I went running. I usually keep the half bath and laundry room doors closed, because Brayden loves flushing the toilet and playing in Chloe's food and water bowls. I knew when I heard that sound of the toilet flushing that it probably was not good. He loves throwing stuff in there, and I usually catch it before it is too late. I sprinted in there and fished out some bath and body works hand soap (he got from under the sink) and an empty toilet paper roll he must have gotten out of the garbage. We will be calling a plumber soon, if I'm not more careful....but not today....I got there just in time.

*I've decided that I'm going to have my blog printed into a book using this site... www.blurb.com
I think I will have Dec.-Dec. printed for year 2 of his life. I made a video montage of his first year, maybe I'll just do this for his second year. I thought it might be fun to read through later in life. He can see what all he put his mama through and what he will have to look forward to with his kids :).

Worn Out....

We had a playdate at the park this morning...We usually meet every week at the park. Well, I guess the heat got to Brayden today. He was worn out. He fell asleep in the swing. He did make friends with an older girl, before he fell asleep. She picked him up and put him in the swing and pushed him for a while. He looks like he is about to fall out, but I was right there and we did move him back up...he just kept sliding down. Brayden and Bryce love to swing.
