Few More Pics....

He is ready for a cell phone already!

I'm really enjoying the new camera my parents gave me as an early Christmas gift. I'm sure you could tell by all the pics that I've been taking. Thanks Mom and Dad!

A Surprise Party for Russ

We went to a surprise party for Russ on Fri. night. He turned the big 30. Brayden had a good time playing on Russell's riding toys and playing with their new puppy. Here are a few pics...

Girls Night Out....

I had a "Girls Night Out" with my MOPS group last night. We went to Newks for dinner and stayed a couple of hours. It was fun to get together with other moms and talk about our kids and the crazy things they do. I heard about one little boy throwing raw eggs on the floor and sliding across the kitchen floor, while his mom was out of the room. One little boy poured Gold Bond powder all over the dining room floor and was laying in it making a 'powder angel', while saying, "I'm (s)WIMMIN MOM!" Oh, what I have to look forward to! You just never know, what kids can get into, when you are away for just a minute. Funny stories to talk about later, but not so much, when they are caught in the act.

Bulletin Boards....

My friend that is selling the picture frames (to raise money to adopt a little girl ) is also making these bulletin boards. I think they are precious! The smaller bulletin boards start at 55 (the skinnier frames)and the wider frames are 65 and the biggest bulletin boards are 95. I do not have one of the larger bulletin boards posted.... but they are like 17 X 23 or something like that. If you are intrested in ordering one, you can e-mail Misty at mistyhld@yahoo.com. She and her husband will have a booth at Gingerbread House also. They will be there on Sat. and they have someone working the booth for them on Fri. I do not think that they will be able to sell there frames there or bulletin boards there, but I'm sure you could place an order.

Book of Brayden's 1st Year

Here is a book I made on Picaboo ....http://preview.picaboo.com/Webview/CoverPage.aspx?user=000000000000B51EA8&album=00000000000138875A. I'm not quite finished. I would like to add a photo from Brayden's 1st birthday. I just love making photo books on this website and shutterfly is also a good site. They are so easy and cute! I've made one from our trip to L.A. a couple of months ago and would like to do the same with our New York pictures. It keeps me from having to go print them all. I thought it would be neat to make Brayden a little yearbook each year, so we will see how that goes. I'm not really good with keeping up with a scrapbook. Although, I would love to start doing some digital scrapbooking. You can actually have your digital pages made into a photobook on sites like picaboo and shutterfly. I just need to figure out how to work Photoshop. I've used it to make a slideshow with pictures and videos that I'm going to play at Brayden's birthday party. That program was not too hard to figure out, but working with picture layouts on photoshop is a little complicated for me. I bought a Photoshop for Dummies book, if I ever have the time to sit and try to read it. (Grandparents, I plan on ordering y'all a copy of the book, when I finish it up)

Where Has My Baby Gone?.....

Wow! It is hard to believe that at the end of the month Brayden will be 1yr old! This year has flown by, but it has been a great one. Brayden has brought so much joy into our lives. I can't imagine life without him. He is getting so big and learning new thing everyday. He loves to laugh all the time and really loves music. He dances and hums, whenever he hears music playing. I have got to get a video of him dancing and post it. His Nana bought him a snowman that plays music and dances, and he absolutely LOVES it. He never gets tired of dancing and humming along with Frosty. It has come in real handy for diaper changes, and when I'm trying to get him dressed. Frosty moves from room to room with us. I can actually put his diaper on without having to do it upside down, because he is foucused on Frosty. Thanks Nana! For a trip down memory lane check out the video below....

My Parents are HOME SWEET HOME.......

As many of you know, my parent's house burned back in February, and they lost pretty much everything. They decided to re-build on the same lot that they were living on. It is where my dad grew up. Anyway, some of you have asked, if they were in the new house yet and the answer is now YES! They have been in their new home for 2 weeks now. They still have a few things here and there to finish it, but for the most part it is ready. The landscaping should be done this week (I think). My mom still needs to find a couple of pictures to go over a couple of the beds, and she has some plates that still need to be hung in the dining room. Just little stuff! I LOVE their new house! I think it turned out BEAUTIFUL! I know it has been a rough year for them, and they are glad to be settled in. They have had so many decisions to make, and my mom has had to replace so much stuff in such a short amount of time due to insurance deadlines, but all the hard work is now paying off. I look forward to spending Christmas Eve there. We did not get to make it to Greenwood last year, because I was getting close to my due date and could not travel. Check out the slide show below. I took a ton of pictures!

SCROLL DOWN AND START AT DAY 1 TO HEAR ABOUT OUR TRIP TO THE BIG APPLE........

Posted by Picasa

Day 3:
More shopping from street vendors and a trip to FAO Schwartz. It was unbelievable! There was actually a long line to wait in just to go inside FAO Schwartz. You can see the line in one of the picture collages. It moved pretty fast though. I bought Brayden a couple of outfits there. We also bought him a Jeter jersey and a New York Yankees windsuit. I will have to take pics of him modeling his new gear. We went to an early show Sat. night and saw the Rockettes in Christmas Spectacular. They changed this one up a lot from, when we saw it last year. It was their 75th anniversary. It is also a great show! We came in early that night, because we had to catch a very early flight home. Jeffrey had to get back for a meeting, so we had to leave our hotel at 4:00a.m. to catch our flight. I think it was for the best though, because of the crowds. The airport was pretty crowed at such an early time. I would have hated to see it later in the day. Saturday the streets were soooo crowded. It was much worse than Friday. It was really hard to get, where you were going at intersections. Jeffrey hated that part of the trip. We went earlier in November last year, and I think he liked it better that way. I really had a fabulous weekend though. Thanks Jeffrey!!!

Day 2:

We went to see the Empire State Building. I had looked online and saw that they have a SkyRide at the Empire State Building. It said that it was quicker to do the SkyRide and bypass the long lines and then go on to the observatory. There were men outside selling the tickets, and we bought some from one of them instead of standing in the long line outside in the cold. It worked out well and the SkyRide was neat. It was like a simulator ride, where you feel like you are flying over New York in a helicopter. On our way out of the building, we were on an escalator and the men in front of me did not get off at the end and caused a little pile up. I didn't know what to do and the lady behind Jeffrey was yelling "PUSH THEM".... It was pretty funny! I don't know what they were thinking! Another funny thing that happened to a man that was on our elevator at the hotel....... The hotel had many floors. We were on the 35th and there were lots of floors above us. There were lots of elevators and you would punch in your floor number in a little box and it would tell you what letter elevator to get on. Well, this man and his son just got on a random elevator. They were riding and the group got off, and they were left on the elevator. Well, you can not control where the elevator goes from the inside, so they had to wait in the elevator until someone called for it.

We did some shopping at Forever 21, H&M, Macy's, etc. after our trip to the Empire State Building. We then went and had an early dinner at a Steak House. Saturday night we saw Mary Poppins. I really liked this show also.

Our Trip to the Big Apple.....

We just got back from New York. We left Thursday for a long weekend getaway, and we had a wonderful time! We went last year, but I was VERY pregnant at that time and it was a little uncomfortable to get around. I was able to do a lot more shopping this year! FUN, FUN!!! I'm getting much better at packing. I must say that when we went on our honeymoon I packed way too much, and we were going to be charged extra for my bag, because it exceeded the weight limit. We were quickly transferring stuff from my bag to Jeffrey's bag to meet the weight limit and not pay extra. EMBARASSING! I learned my lesson and packed light for this trip to make room for all the stuff bought, while shopping in New York. I must have gotten carried away, because I just made it under the weight limit by .5 lb. I was nervous, when they put the bag on the scales! Here is how we spent the weekend:

Day 1:
We arrived at the hotel around 4:00 p.m., and we went up and got ready for a night out. We went to eat at an Italian restraunt right next to the theatre, where Grease was showing. We then went to the 8:00 p.m showing of Grease. We were very lucky, because it was their first night back from being on strike. It was a GREAT show. I really enjoyed it!
